American Law Sources On-Line - Go to this
site to
read U.S. Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals, and U.S. Bankruptcy decisions, as
well as
cases and procedural rules for state courts. You can search the U.S. Code and
find
international laws. The site also has an introduction to the U.S. legal system
in
English, Spanish, and French.
Florida State Courts - This is the site to
go to for
information on Florida state courts. You can read Florida Supreme Court and
district
court opinions. It has a self help center with links to other sites, the
location of
legal aid centers, and printable family law forms. You can listen to live audio
broadcasts of Supreme Court oral arguments when court is in session.
Thomas - If you're interested in
researching past or current congressional bills or records, House or Senate
committee
records, or public laws, this is a very useful site. It also contains contact
information
for members of Congress.
lexisONE - This site allows you to search
for state
and federal cases within the last five years, free of charge. It has a limited
library
of free forms. There is also a directory where you can find legal websites for
individual
states, including sites for counties and all branches of government within each
state.

Stetson
University College of Law in Gulfport, FL provides a user-friendly starting
point for
legal research, and provides links to a variety of legal information sources on
the web.
Click on "Law Library" on the homepage for a menu, and then on "Legal
Resources." It includes federal and
state law
databases which you can search by subject, attorney directories, legal forms,
municipal
codes, legal news, and more.
Search Systems - This site contains
numerous
nationwide and state databases. There's too much information to list it all!
Find
information on doctors, locate cancer treatment centers, find out about product
recalls,
criminal records, judgment liens, listings of foreclosure properties for sale
by county,
and much more. Most searches are free.
Municode.com - If you are looking for
municipal codes
and ordinances for a specific city in the U.S., this is the place to go.
LLRX.com - LLRX.com is a web journal that
provides feature
articles and topical research guides. By clicking on "Zimmerman's Research
Guide" on the
homepage, you can browse an online encylopedia by subject or search by keyword.
